Daia

Daia

The village was founded in the 12th century and at the beginning it consisted mainly of wooden houses. Numerous documents testify to the concerns and alternate history of the village, which several times became the center of warlike conflicts and fire disasters. Today there are numerous initiatives in the village. Interesting is the work of the Belgian baron Prof. Dr. Jean de Maere, who artistically interpreted the cultural and architectural heritage in his buildings on the Flanderhof and built a book tower.
